2005 Year in Review by BlogPulse

December 26th, 2005

BlogPulse has released a ‘What’s hot in the blogosphere in 2005?’. Relevant to blogs on that review by BlogPulse are the lists of top blogs, top blog posts and probably the top media sources as well.

The blogs in BlogPulse’s list of top blogs in 2005 include:

  1. Boing Boing
  2. Engadget
  3. Albino Blacksheep
  4. Instapundit.com
  5. Power Line
  6. Gizmodo
  7. Think Progress
  8. Political Animal
  9. Slashdot

Almost none of the blogs on this list are unexpected. From traffic to visitor involvement, these blogs are clearly among the best of the best. But specifically, the top blogs were compiled by counting the number of bloggers linking to these blogs.

In any case, I wonder how the bloggers blogging on these blogs feel about this success. An annual confirmation of their top dog status? Or a mere milestone in a greater long-run target?

Welcome to is-there!

December 6th, 2005

Well, I’m targeting this blog as my do-it-all blog, where I post anything that happens to be related to my everyday progress as a newbie blogger. In fact, using Drupal is an experiment in itself since I am using WordPress (primarily) and Movable Type for my blogs.

So, I’m not sure what to tell you to expect given that I’m not sure what I’ll write yet. But in any case, thank you for visiting. Hopefully you will find something that interests you.

Oh yeah, the links up there on the header are the blogs I’m currently working on (most of them at least). You can say that I should probably concentrate on my primary blog first before tackling others, but I’m the type that gets too worked up over small details. A solution, therefore, is to busy myself with multiple blogs.
